Join us here at Poundland & Dealz as a Finance Manager, based at our Customer Support Centre in Walsall, working in a hybrid pattern of a minimum three days onsite.
Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, you’ll lead a small team of Assistant Management Accountants, overseeing and ownership of key areas of the P&L and balance sheet for Head Office and Fixed Assets while ensuring month end runs smoothly and efficiently within tight deadlines.
This is a hands on leadership role where coaching, mentoring and developing your team is just as important as delivering accurate financial reporting. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across the business, support audit and month end activity, provide meaningful commentary to senior leadership and help drive ongoing improvements in our current processes. There’s plenty of opportunity to make an impact, whether that’s enhancing reporting files, improving reconciliations or helping automate manual processes over time.
We’re looking for a professionally qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA or ACA) with strong management accounting experience, excellent Excel skills and proven people management capability. Experience of owning balance sheet reconciliations, delivering month end reporting and partnering with stakeholders across the business is essential. Oracle Fusion experience would be advantageous, but not essential.
